Lets get something straight. THERE ARE NO THIRD PARTY APPS FOR THE VERSA.
The second best thing you can do is find a web based Flash(.swf) game or program and pray it will play nice with your phone.
Other then flash programs there are saving dedicated website, like i mentioned with the weather app. That site will bring you to another sub site dedicated to weather for your particular area. but in all reality its not an app. its just a bookmark!!!
Other then those your last shot is looking for some RSS feed (good luck on that) that updates with information your trying to seek. NEWS, Weather, blogs ect. But be warned rss on the versa only updates if you tell it to. NOT AUTOMATICALLY!!!!! so you still will never be notified of pertinent information unless you request it. even then it never download the whole feed.
I'm only writing this because i come back on this forum to check to see if anything has changed with the Versa's lockdown situation. I'm sorry to report it hasn't and never will. Look if you bought this phone expecting great things, even expecting great PROMISED things by Verizon I'm Sorry you have been duped. Till this day that keyboard attachment is still Fairly useless unless you love the one or two games developed for this phone.
Verizon will also never develop any App for this phone, Mainly because if anyone hasn't noticed they have pulled it from stores and are only selling the back stock online. Local stores don't even carry replacements most of the time. Also with the introduction of all the new touches, ENV touch and dare2 whatever its called verizon has no need to develop for this phone. the cost/profit ratio would never meet qualifications especially when there next to 0 of these phones out there.
I would like to apologize to everyone for being harsh, but I'm sure most of you were expecting far more then what this phone has lived up to. Expecting iphone like choice in Apps? sweet internet browsing? Not as many glitches as this phone has been launched with? and for it to still be on shelves 9 months later?
Please if your going to respond be respectful, but if your going to say anything about not expecting more then a phone check this out first.
