Go under settings & tools/phone settings/security enter the last 4 digits of your phone # go under restrictions enter the last 4 digits again and thru here can set up to where only your contacts can call/message you.

I've always wanted to do that and now I can.
The only down side I can think of is what if a friend gets a new number or you get an emergency call from a payphone (if those still exist) because someone's phone died.
Of course, I still have voicemail for screening calls.
