Problems using Versa as wireless modem

I like using my phone as a wireless (bluetooth) modem for my Dell Axim. Never have incurred data charges to my knowledge... not 3G fast, but what the hey? I was able to use my VX8700 as a wireless modem, as well as my wife's Envy2. The Versa dials the number same as other phones, but will not connect. Did Verizon block this function in the WAP settings? Could it be changed throught the service menu? If so, how? Still love the phone. Not a biggy, but would be cool.

First off you mean bluetooth modem right?

It shouldn't incur data charges if you use it as a modem because then it is functioning like dialup so it should only use minutes and that's why it's slow. You may try to ask verizon online through the chat window.

Otherwise hope someone here knows or go over to HoFo

You'll have to do a Google search, I don't think we speak of that here.
I wouldn't call Verizon about it, they don't want you doing it

To answer your question, no VZW didn't block doing this on the Versa
