I've always been really mad about every phone I've had with Verizon (for 6 years) because of the limit that you can have on texts in the inbox. My Razr V3c had 50, env had 50, and I thought I broke away with that altogether with the Versa.. but turns out that it's 200. Is there a way I could increase this through bitpim or eliminate it altogether? I didn't see anything like this discussed in the forums, but I don't think it's possible to reroute the messages so that they're saved on the microSD card... that would be fantastic if this limit could be changed! : Thanks! If nothing, maybe we can suggest something like this for the next firmware? (BTW, anyone have another download link for v03, cause all the ones on this and other forums seem to be taken down. :/)

I would just bring my phone in to verizon. As far as the inbox limit goes, if you need to save texts just lock the ones you like and leave it on auto delete. You could concevably reprogram your phone but you would be the first as far as I can see.

Off topic, but v04 is the new firmware for the phone, which has upgrades, etc. You flash your phone with it, but you shouldn't try unless you know what you are doing. I don't think it's possible unless you know how to read the BREW code.

My inbox is currently at 333. Does that mean I have more than the limit?

Are you showing in conversation mode... like show messages by person, instead of time?... Cause I believe it includes your sent text as well.

Is that strange? It lags for like 2 seconds going into the inbox on threaded view and it is faster on date view. It seems to me I have more than 200 in my inbox ether way. Any advice or opinions.

if you have media messages (not standard texts) it sometimes allows your inbox to have more messages. i don't know why but it does

Yeah I'm up to 380. It has to be more than the stated limit. I will keep you updated, anyone have more than me or close? Has anyone seemed to hit the limit?

I had 500 in my Inbox , it seemed to stop there even when i kept getting media messages so i think 500 is the max.

Yeah 500 seems like the highest I got too but I got sick of the lag and erased them all.

How do you get a threaded view? I've had my phone since March, and have always wished that it was an option. I didn't know it was! Help! My inbox is currently at 333. Does that mean I have more than the limit?

Thread like view. Not true threaded view but, the best option you have. Press the envelope on the desktop and then > settings> Inbox View> By Contact. Hope this helps!
