Another thing to remember with the Versa is that it says everywhere that works with MicroSD, but never really claims to be compatible with MicroSDHC, which it is. Just something some people may end up searching/questioning before buying add-on cards.
My card is a MicroSDHC and it works perfectly with my Versa.

FYI you can get 8GB off ebay for like 20$ =)

also i believe the max external memory that can be placed in the versa is 16GB if im not mistaken.

I just got mine off Amazon for $12.00 new.

The Verizon store I got mine at threw in a 4 gig card which gets me started. I definitely wouldn't have bought it there. Just ordered one from Buy.com for $43 + s&h.

Returning to the topic, I can transfer music and just about anything else using either USB, Bitpim or a card reader but haven't figured out how to transfer via Bluetooth. Anyone else?

To the OP, in step 3 you might add that you shouldn't "press END or CLR to exit" at that time as that will break the connection. I'm positive it's just me since I tend to split hairs to infinity especially when reading instructions. I kept interpreting that line as an instruction to execute now.

What size microsd did your order that cost you $43.00? That's alot, unless your buying a 16GB. I got my 8Gb + the adapter last week for about $12.00 from amazon.com.

It's 16gb. Actually it's still in my cart. I just haven't pulled the trigger on it yet.

fyi,
using the mass storage function is probably the easiest way to get music onto your phone (if you're using a card).  i don't think you even need the drivers since windows will just recognize it as a flash drive basically.

1)  setting & tools > tools > usb mass storage (its at the bottom of the list)
2)  open my computer.  there should be a new drive with a my_music folder in it
3)  copy any tunes you want into that folder
4)  disconnect usb cable and start up music player

as long as you have your music tagged intelligently, you should see all your new tunes nicely arranged.

I had just put a bunch of songs on my Versa just dragging and dropping to the my_music folder with BitPim but this is much faster.  Thanks Grin

I'm a newbie here. I'm not sure if someone has said this and I'm not sure if it works for PCs, but on my Macbook it has bluetooth and I just send my iTunes songs over bluetooth. Did anyone know they could do that?

in order for your versa to be recognized by your computer you need to have the phone plugged into the computer.  once it is plugged in you would go into the menu, select settings and tools, select tools, and then select usb mass storage.  it will start the process of connecting and once it is done it will say connected in red.  once you are done you hit exit in the upper right hand corner of the screen.  sort of like disconnecting a flash drive safely
