Hey guys. here is a way to get music on your LG versa. keep in mind though, you only have 300MB.

1. download this. its the drivers for the lg dare that also work with the versa (since drivers are not out for the versa yet)

http://vzamredesign.smithmicro.net/vcastmusic/drivers/LGUSBModemDriver_WHQL_Eng_Ver_4.8.1.exe

2. after its finished, run it.

3. after its done, simply open my music and click sync. it will think for like 1 second then will show connect...press END or CLR to exit

4. on the computer, it will give you the option to sync digital media files to this device using windows media player.

5. you will go through naming the device and stuff like that.

6. to put music on the device, you may do one of two things:

a. (easier way) in windows media player, you can drag music to the sync list to the right and click start sync. after its done, click end on the phone and see if you have the music.

b.(advanced way) after connecting (this works after uve connected it before) click start>my computer. under portable devices, you should see "Internal VX9600 Music Sync Player". open this then open Internal Drv. Next, open Music. Then lets say you want to put an album of Kanye West. right click>New folder>Kanye West.now open it and now find that album you want and copy it. next go back to the kanye west album and paste it (note that if you want single songs, method A is easier) it will prompt you with something. simply press "Yes to All" and wait. after its done, exit on your phone and see if the music is there. hope this helped some of you!

EDIT April 1, 2009 (not an april fools joke haha) i checked verizon's download manager thing and i saw they have drivers for the lg versa now. hope it clears up some problems.

i will try my best to get one made hopefully in the next few days.

basically, if you dont know what to do, try to explain the problem. steps 1 2 4 5 and partially 6 are for the computer and step 3 is for the actual phone. so basically install the drivers, plug in phone, go to my music on the phone, then sync, then on the computer go to my computer and look for it (should be called like VX9600 Player or something) click it and drag music into the music folder or when plugged in, open with windows media player and just drag music to sync list and press sync.

search your computer for windows media player. once opened you may either do one of two things to access the phone:

a) on the left column, look for Internal VX9600 Music Sync player

b) press the sync tab on top

next, a device setup window will come up. it is your choice what to do from here. if you click no (which i did) you can rename the device to whatever your heart desires. click finish and now you may drag and drop music into the left column. when you are done, press start sync at bottom. now wait until the screen on your phone doesnt show that its syncing anything anymore. now it is safe to remove the usb cable. hope this helped =)

100% free. that 15$ per month includes this driver + a subscription to rhapsody. so if you want to get music, you would get that deal. if you already have music and just wanna put it on, these drivers are for that. note this, if it wasnt 100% free verizon wouldnt be that idiotic to first test everything and allow people to get it for free =)

plus its only drivers. no subscriptions.

Yes, that is correct.
One of my teachers got an 8 gig for 8$ (guess who pointed him in the right direction Wink) Never get them from verizon(way too much money), but make sure  they are compatible.
