Posting this tip here per suggestion from m4him:

Quick Browser Zoom/Magnify:  You can use the volume rocker while the browser is running to zoom in/out on a webpage without clicking on the screen at all.  It doesn't save the need to scroll, but if you are already on the area of the page you are interested in, the volume rocker zoom does not "force" a scroll - the page stays centered where you had it and simply zooms in/out.  This is particularly handy for login screens and check-boxes which at native zoom levels can be sometimes tricky to select/open.  Double-tap the volume rocker to make it big > select/enter > volume rocker zoom to the desired level to read the site.

Fast High-Level Website Scrolling:  There is also an option in Browser > Menu > Settings > Display that gives you the ability to turn on a "Thumbnail" of the page.  This is basically a 10,000ft view of the website.  If you drag your thumb on that thumbnail strip (which pops up on the right side of the screen, on top of your current website), you can scroll very quickly to the area of interest on the page.  I set mine to "Auto" so it only pops up when I start to quickly scroll.  In Auto mode, it also (generally) pops up upon completion of the page load for a short period of time to allow you to quickly scroll thru a long site.  I use it frequently in GMail when I'm going thru and deleting messages, etc.  Handy as well for long sites like RSS Weather and others that are turned into long sites when using "screen optimized" display mode.

Thanks for the tip. This rocker switch also comes in handy to zoom the camera in and out. Of course it only zooms like 10mm but hey thats something. I think its optical zoom not digital zoom.
I use this alot since I started using the Camera button to take a picture, which is alot more stable than the on screen button and prevents blur.
Also hold down for three seconds and it activates all sounds off. An up for threeseconds returns to normal mode.
Great for when you get to and leave a meeting or class. Better than turning it off in my opinion.

This is great.  Wish all apps with zoom could do this.  I am a weather buff and subscribe to My-Cast.  I hate zooming in that program because the rockers don't work.   Would be nice if they would!
