Can I change the length of the new text vibration with bitpim?

For some reason...the length of the text vibrate when i recieve a text is annoyingly long for me, even thought its only about a second long. so i was wondering if i could use bitpim to edit the filesystem to make the the text vibrate (or any vibration) about a quarter of what it is now? (my text alert tone is the single beep and i want the vibrate to be as short as that sound). im sure its possible but does anyone know what file i should be looking at?
