Prepare the device to be used as a Modem. Procedure

 1. Verify the device indicates that wireless data service is available.  If it does not, troubleshoot data service availability. Activate Bluetooth on the device and make it discoverable.
 2. Connect the computer to the Internet using a Dial-up Networking Connection via Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, or Vista:  A Dial-up Networking (DUN) Connection uses the operating system’s built in networking client to establish a connection to the internet.  A DUN connection cannot be used to connect to an AT&T Wi-Fi Basic Hotspot as the technologies are incompatible.
