Hey guys. I found this interesting glitch (its actually REALLY REALLY ANNOYING). i noticed that my phone i would get a txt and if i dont answer it fast enough, like 15-20 minutes, the phone would freeze. the screen would stay on and unlock and nothing would work. only taking the back out and removing the battery would fix this. but i found a permanent fix. i found out that i changed a options in text to remind me a text every 15 minutes. turning this off fixes the bug. to access this, go to settings and tools>sound settings>alert sounds>TXT message>Reminder>Once (to fix)
for anyone that wants to confirm this, or just curious, set to every 15 minutes and have somone text the phone. simply wait 15 minutes and look at the phone.

Hmm, I will change my settings just to make sure. However, just today I received a text and didn't check until a few hours later (I was working during my spring break, yuck) and mine did not freeze.

I have had some freezes but I don't think they were all due to pending text message. I do have the reminder off, so maybe you are on to something. I'll pay more attention.

im thinking of just installing bitpim or w/e and backing up my stuff then asking verizon for a new phone because i have the snap-on cover so probably once or twice a day i gotta take that off. the case is gonna break if i keep doing that.

Correction: I have the reminder set to Remind Once. I had left the phone for awhile today and when I unlocked I had text messages from about an hour old that opened up fine.

Same problem here. Only experienced it while not using the qwerty attachment. If anyone figures out a concrete fix, please let us know.

I have the same problem. I tried your solution and am going to see if that helps at all. One of the only things that I dislike about this phone so I hope that this fixes it.

I have been keeping my inbox messages under 150. Since trying this phone has yet to freeze.(2 days) Maybe this could work for others as well.
