Doesn't look like it was released today but definitely in the near future. Perhaps before the middle of the month.

Since it's not on Verizon's website, I doubt it is available right now.
I was curious, so last week I stopped in a local store and asked about available accessories.
They were able to confirm that it is in their system, but the warehouse had 0 inventory.
My guess is that it’s soon to come, but no one can tell me when.
I was hoping someone else actually got one so I don't have to be the guinea pig, but since Verizon is pretty good about returns, I may just volunteer to be one of the first.
However, since I don't usual play games on my phone, I'm more interested in whether or not the add-on is limited to just gaming, or if I'll be able to utilize it with navigation, etc.
Also, since it doesn't have a "built in case" like the keypad, I wonder what cases, etc. will be available. . . .

I got in touch with my favorite Verizon rep today to see if the gaming pad was in and she informed me Verizon has it. But she has to order it for me. Hope this helps you. Maybe that's how they are limited and Verizon assures they don't purchase more than they need.

I can also confirm that Verizon has the gaming pad on their sale sheets, it is $29.95.  I got this from a CS rep yesterday.

Well guys for an update, not much of one though. I went in the store yesterday. Thought I would be ordering my game controller. When the rep was trying to put the order in it shows unavailable( not in stock). And that was on the game pad and some different color skins. She said when they are truly in stock that we should be able to see them on the Verizon website to be ordered by ourselves too. So I guess theses accessories show on the listing in their system cause they are getting them but no one knows exactly where they are at this point so we can buy them.  Other words even though that game pad was to come out on the 1st. It and other goodies for our phone hasn't been sent to Verizon yet.

Here it is almost a third of the way into April and . . . . . Where the #@%$ is the game pad?
No one @ Verizon can give me a straight answer.
"Versa"? They should have called it "Hybra" since all I can do so far is use a keyboard or not use a keyboard  Angry

Well, sure enough, the game controller does exist.
I just got mine in this morning, played around with it and listed out some pros and cons to share with you all.
Overall, I'm not overly impressed, but I'm not completely disappointed either.
Here are some pics I snapped with my Voyager:

And my quick review . . . . .

Wow, I was hoping this was real, and I suspected it was since I saw pictures of it on google images.

I simply called Verizon CS, explained that I have been patiently waiting for accessories for the Versa, in particular the Game Controller.  I pointed out that the game controller should have been released on April 1st, but that I couldn't place an order online or in the store.  He found it for me on his end and placed the order, 2 day FedEx.  I believe the list price is $29.99, but with my company discount, plus tax . . . around $26.00 will be on my next bill.

I simply use the "LG Script" for my Menu font selection (Main Menu -> Settings & Tools -> Display Settings -> Menu Fonts -> "LG Script").  The homepage you see is the "Module" homescreen that appears when you attach the game controller, similar to the homescreen when you attach the keypad.

Hey did a user manual come with it telling you how to differentiate between normal getitnow games for all phones and games that are built to be used on the versa. that use the screen and accelerometer, as well as the "game pad"?

Because this is the biggest problem for me. Verizon has all these great ideas like this phone but when it comes to launch games and apps and whatever they dont come through. Any news on this or anythign related to this would be great. Im busy trying to find a pdf view written in .swf(flash)

The box indicated that included was a "User Manual" (see pic 3).
Unfortunately, the manual is very vague.  The manual gives you little more than install instructions (see pic 9).  I agree completely with you as I'm sure 100% of Versa owners do too.  Verizon should definitely make phone specific games, indicate control method (button, touch, accelerometer, etc.) and even provide more extensive game-play screenshots and/or videos. . . . hopefully it's just a matter of time!
