So accesing the service menu? Is there anything beneficial in there for me to mess with? I know I risk BRICKING my phone so don't remind me. Thought maybe we can get back on topic now!

I'm not sure. If your interested why don't you look at it?

I'm going to say, no...
Non-pro's can still see & post here...
I really don't see a reason to have a "Pro Forum" anyway...
It's not like this forum has a need for someone to post 100s of times anyway...

Sorry I'm not a pro member but I feel it is important to point out that this is the program menu
the service menu is accessed by
1.) Dial pad ##
2.) Type lgservicemenu or 5473784236368
3.) Service code is all zeros

Yeah I already made that distinction in my post on the real service menu. Thanks though some people are probably confused.

Thought you "pros" would like to know that in some areas reception from VZW has become pretty poor.  They are making changes as areas are fully integrated.  The solution to bad reception or not having a signal at times is to change the SID.  Since you are pros I'm sure you already know not only how to do it but what to change it to. :Smiley

I personally am turned off that you guys are even thinking of having a "elite/pro" section of this forum. Just open it up. Why would you want to keep anything from anyone?Huh? That just seems contradictory of this type of forum. Moderation is the key, enable the forum/the members the abibility to moderate.

Well you can see anything we post here so were not keeping it from you. It is there so the more experienced versa owners can ask questions or talk about stuff w/out noobs interrupting or asking stupid questions whose answer is common sense to all the pro members.

I guess as long as everyone can see it. When browsing and interacting with good how to sites, you never see segregation like that unless the provider of the service is out to make money. That is something that will in fact turn people away. But if the purpose of this site is to make money, then so be it, and Good Luck with your venture. I do like the information that is being shared but it is possible that a noob might have some great input that will be pushed away because he is not a member......Just my thoughts. Moderation is key when dealing with as you put it stupid questions. Just move the question into the proper category and correct the user. The large the site the more moderators there should be. Empower......

I did not call you a noob I was speaking generally. Everyone is a noob at some point and this section of the site is intended to get people to post more, learn more and become a pro member. How is this site out to make money? I would love to get paid. My advice and all the moderators advice is free and uninfluenced by any sponsor. Bottom line is post here again it will be deleted.

I just got an email saying I haven't visited this forum lately and inviting me back.
I didn't know I was coming back to see a bunch of 1st graders argueing about who can be in who's club.  Do you realize there is now 2 pages of back and forth personal crap and no one has posted what the service menu is good for yet?

...forget it.

This post will probably be deleted anyway.

I'm outta here...

word to that.
for some reason my service menu doesnt like to work when I put in "##lgservicemenu" the lock screen comes up and I punch in all zeros but it tells me this code is incorrect.
I've never used this before to mess with the password in anyway I've tried resetting my phone settings back to default and it still doesnt work.
any suggestions ?
