format option is retarded

my girlfriend has the versa, and she was messing with her phone, and accidentally hit format, so her 2gb micro sd card was formatted. she had 200+ pics and vids on the card. Has anyone done this, and how can i retrieve the files?

i have a BS in computer forensics, and I have already tried using WinHex, but it only found 100 pics, and they were only pics that were sent to the phone or drawn in the drawing pad.

I'm not sure if there is any chance to get the files back if the whole sd card completely reformatted

however if you went through and set up your phone's lock code in security, there should be one screen after you hit format which requires you to enter the lock code to prevent accidental reformats.

dude you have a degree in computer forensics? Why ask us what to do?
What I would try is using scandisk rescue program that comes free with scandisk cards. The files are still there just the routes to access them have been erased. Good luck
