Does anyone know of a free service that allows you to send your own ringtones to your phone via text on the net? I am tired of hooking the phone up to my pc and all services I found to do this cost $1.99 per week. I did see the post about using gmail but I am looking for something easier if possible.

yea. if you use that link i provided above you dont have to send it by email. just type in your 10 digit number and attach the ringtone and send. you will recieve it almost immidiatley.
hotmail only works 40% of the time for me. it use to work all the time but when it stopped thats when i started using that link.

www.bitpim.orgI use it to sync everything with my phone and computer. Ringtones, wallpaper, phonebook, call history, sms history, literally everything. It's and easy way to back up my everything on my phone should something happen to it. Compatible with USB cable or bluetooth. I've gotten both to work

He said a free text service, without having to hook it up. Bluetooth takes a bit of configuration and much longer to send it. I use any email service, i find that it is the easiest.

using bitpim, you can store your ringtones on your sd card and still have them be recognized by the phone. I currrently have 32 ringtones on my card. and usb works fine and is plenty quick.

Yes, this works perfectly on the Versa. It might be helpful to mention that it says for Wallpapers, but it works for RingTones as well. Thanks!

I downloaded bitpim but versa is not an option on the list. How are you using this with a versa?

I downloaded the Beta Version of Bitpim. It recognized my Versa with no problem at all. Once you make your Ringtone, you install it onto your phone, You don't need a SD Micro Card. I would like to thank everyone who's posted help on this site.
