You will have to use bitpim and replace the "fun animations" world clock and that time cube thing.
Let me know how it looks when your done I might be tempted to try it too! Currently I just use pics I took.

If you are simply trying to set the animated wallpaper from this site (.gif file) as a homescreen wallpaper, no bitpim is required:
1. Right click and save the .gif file to your computer
2. Transfer the file to your phone via email, usb mass storage or bluetooth
3. Save the .gif with the rest of your pictures
4. Set as a wallpaper
Also, you may want to edit the .gif before you put it on your phone.  If you use the free online editor in the post below, you can edit the size to the exact size you want for your phone (240x480/480x240).  You can also modify the colors, etc.  See my .gif edit post:

Personally, all of my wallpapers are animated.

Do the animated wallpapers slow down the versa at all? I am guessing no if all your wallpapers are animated. I have yet to take the animated wallpaper journey as I am dissapointed my phone does not do video backgrounds of the videos I take like my old lg did. Sad

The phone does not slow down any that I can tell.
The .gif does slow/stop after a few seconds, but by then I usually have my phone locked.
BTW, you can set the "Lock Screen" wallpaper as a video, but not the homepage wallpapers.

I know the lock screen can, but I guess It would slow the versa if it did it on all screens. It did slow my old Lg,  slowed quite a bit. What animations do you have?

I've got some confusion on the advice here. Anytime you transfer a GIF to the phone, it becomes a static picture. No animation.

Where are the fun animations in the filesystem so I can get this accomplished properly?
