Adding Pictures To Versa though USB Cable

As far as I can tell, with the steps you followed, you should have been good to go.
This leads me to believe that it may be the picture file(s) itself.
The first three things that I can think are the file size (KB/MB), the file extension (type of picture) and the file name itself.
Check into modifying these things and maybe the pictures will possibly display on the Versa.
1.  I couldn't find the Versa's size limitation specs right now, but try using an online program like imageshack to resize the photo.  I'm not sure what the Versa's size limitations are, but I'm sure someone can provide it for you.  However, large images will typically show up as a strange looking thumbnail, but not be viewable.
2.  As I mentioned, I can't find the spec sheet for the Versa right now, but make sure the file extension is something like .jpg or .gif and see if that helps.
3.  This may be the most likely cause . . . try changing the file name to something shorter, remove any strange characters (examples: +={?>[/_- etc.) and possibly even remove spaces.
As I mentioned, I'm not sure exactly why the pics are not showing up, but if you change one of these file attributes or combination of, I think you'll have better luck.
