versa freezes when i try to sync music

like the title says, my versa freezes everytime i press the sync button. i've already tried installing the driver but that didnt do anything. i havent updated to the lastest software if that helps. any help would be appreciated.

OK I have read some posts, tried a few things, and came up with some solutions, but it ends up being a pain.

First, the phone will not freeze and sync works fine if the sd card is removed from the phone. Well, that sucks.

You can sync music to the phone and then move the music to the card later. Pain in the ass. It takes forever and you are limited to the memory on the phone regardless of your sd memory size.

Otherwise, you can put the sd card in a card reader and sync music to it. WMP synced to folder "music" and I cut/paste to "my_music" (where versa looks for music). They seem to play fine, and most have album art. Still a pain.

Anyone know why the phone is freezing now? Again, mine worked fine before w/card in and using WMP. Was this a software update from Verizon or something? Anyone find a better fix?
