LG Versa - MicroSD causing phone to turn off?

When I got the last update to my phone I was talking to the Customer Service guy about my phone randomly turning off. I was told that there was an issue with phone and Micro SD working together. I was given the lame LG is aware of this and working on the issue and there should be an update soon. I've tried to look into the issue but I can't find anything. Can anyone help?

Since I've taken my the SD card out I haven't had any problems but I want to use my phone to listen to music, store photos and other things that I can't do without my SD card.

Well you do have a reasonable amount of space in internal memory. Was you card name brand? How many MB? I have never had this problem or heard of this problem on this forum. I would make sure that I format the card in the versa before I add anything to the card.

2 gig standard mirco SD card

I had the card in the phone before I added any music or photos to it. It was working fine for about 6 weeks and then my phone would randomly turn off. I've recently put it back in the phone and it seems to be okay. Currently trying to upload music to it.
