So my Dare I got 3 months ago had been having so many problems (restarting, dropped calls, not holding charge, and simply freezing) and I've already been through SEVEN of them.

I bricked up today and I went into Verizon and asked if there was another update available, because it was getting extremely annoying. They said there wasn't, but offered me an up/downgrade to the Versa, and well, here I am.

It's going to take some time to get used to the Lock button position and the reversed camera, but I was really tired of having to deal with the Dare.

I hope the Black Display theme is ported to the Versa soon, cause I'm not liking this multi-colored theme.

Also hopefully there'll be a way to take the "Shortcuts, Favorites, Media" bar away, cause it's not helpful. Also I don't have anything on my Media Home screen, can I disable it?

welcome. i dont think you can but then again, to get to the menus, you gotta flick your finger. i never remember myself "accidentally" going to these menus. but yeah, my step mom has the dare as well. one thing youll notice is that you can use the qwerty keyboard both directions on texting instead of just one with the dare. also, the letters are little smaller

To be honest It's really hard for me to text as it is since I have big hands and fingers, and my thumbs cover about 3 letters, lol. Though it seems to be faster, but sometimes it misses letters or doesn't register them. Eh. I don't text THAT much anyway.

Also it's too bad you can't change the text color on the shortcut screen so you can read them on a dark wallpaper.

I hope Verizon gets the Galaxy because that will definitely be my first smartphone that I'll be willing to pay for a data plan on.

Also just another thing on the Versa, the back of the phone is semi-brwon/red tinted to match the qwerty case. Stupid imo but eh. Also there should be less Chrome and more Black.

Dude my Versa back cover and querty keyboard is black, maybe this is a regional difference. And one band of chrome is hardley excessive.
Also I have Huge Hands I can palm a basket ball, thi phone has the best external and internal keyboard of any phone verison currently has, and arguably the best keyboards on any phone. If I were you I would be thankfull that missed keys happen sometimes as opposed to all the time with other phones. You could choose to use the versa feature where you can draw the letters instead its not that fast but fun, it even does cursive.

I can't say if my backing on my keyboard is brown/red or black. It looks diffrent in the light but I think it's a bronwish color to match the front of the phone.

I tried the Alias2 and the keys are so perfect for me. Cool phone. I don't text enough to complain but eh.

Also I'm just comparing the Chrome to the Dare's Chrome band. And the back isn't THAT Red/brown, but it is noticable when you compare it to the back of the Dare, lol.

My keyboard case is black.  I wish they would just make more colors for it.

Hey guys, I just got the Versa. I know it has been out for some months now, but I was surprised to find that the keyboard attachment did not come in the box. I am from north carolina, and I figured this must either be a regional thing, or a cost cutting measure since the release. I could care less though since I would not use the attachment anyway. I got the clear hard plastic case and use the virtual qwerty so I didnt bother asking about it.
