LG Versa - It's on the Way!

My turn to introduce myself. I mailed off my Storm this morning to my ebay winner and my Versa is scheduled to arrive tom. Fedex! I am really looking forward to the Versa. I am a bit tired of constantly downloading new OS and paying the data plan. I did a ton of research and this seems to be a great phone. I can't wait. As far as my intro. I am a stay at home mom of 7 ranging from 16 months to 12 years. My oldest dd is a tech wiz, so she usually helps me out. Does anyone know if they are shipping the new ones with the Update, or would I need to take it in or do it myself after I get it?

Welcome,
All new phones SHOULD come preloaded with the latest software, but I would check when you get it.
its under phone info. this update is a must by the way makes the versa experience much better.

Thanks for the replies.. I am without a phone right now and beside myself.. Can't wait. My son wants to test out the gamepad.. I just want to be able to make calls!! Wink

Nice. I expect your phone bill to be cheaper. Just make sure to pay $15 for vcast if you use the internet much. Do let us know if it ships with the update.

So... I got it, and I love it.. but. It shipped with version 02 software. So , I guess Ihave to take it in.. Sad

BUMMER! owell it does not take long and you phone will proform significantly better after the upgrade.

Thanks! You guys are great at replying. I am looking forward to really enjoying my phone. I will have this one for two years... So I want it to work as well as possible and I don't want to be looking at the grass on the other side of the fence.... I already love it, so I am sure with the software update, it will be even better.. Although I haven't had any problems yet (for these past 4 hours
