Hello All,

I bought my Versa on day one and I really like it... so far. Just like any other new cell phone, there are some things you like and some things you don't.

For instance, it really annoys me that the contacts no longer have notes on them. #%$&*@!  And the customizable screens don't move when you rotate the phone... grrr!  Don't get me started on the voice detection algorithm!  And why can't I change the order of phone numbers on my contacts?!

I do like the way the touch screen works. It is responsive (mostly) and adjusts to the speed of your touch.  And I do like the visual presentation when you change screens and such.  I also like the fact that you can add modules...

Which brings me to the reason I bought the phone in the first place.  The modular approach.  I was thiiiis close to buying an Omnia.  I just hope LG makes sure new modules are affordable and thoughtful.  I can't wait for the WiFi module (hurry up!).  Let's hope they make them so it boosts this phone over the top (I so want to make I Phone snobs jealous!).

I am having problems with lockups, particularly when notifications such as text messages, voice mail, or the like come in and I can't respond to them right away.  I've had to remove my battery 20+ times already!

So far, so good LG.  I hope you look into adding enhancements with future code upgrades and not just bug fixes!

Over and out...

P.S. How about adding some more sizzle to the menu, font, and display options? We want more pop!

I'm glad you chose the Versa! It's a great phone and since getting it and reading what everyone has said about it in comparison with the Dare, I haven't a single regret that I chose it over the Dare.

I just want to comment on a few things you said: What type of phone had you before? What do you mean by notes on the contacts? And I've never had a phone that lets me change the order of listed numbers on contacts, but rather to set any one of those numbers as the default. The home screens don't rotate unless the qwerty module is attached; I find that strange as well. I had to fiddle-fart with the voice command settings a good bit to get it to act like I want it, but I had to do the same with my enV2 and my Razr before it. These are the settings I use:

Digit Dial Readout: OFF
Choice List: Always Off
Sensitivity: Reject Less
Train Voice
Prompt Mode: Prompts
Audio Playback: Earpiece
Prompt Timeout: 5 seconds
Call Alert: Ring Only
CLR Key Activation: ON

Hey Deedub,

Thanks for your reply.  I misspoke a bit when I mentioned not being able to change the order of numbers on a contact... I meant to say what you said.  I want the ability to change the default number to the number I call the most on any particular contact.

My last phone was an LG env (VX9900).  There was a section for notes on every contact... very handy for entering addresses and such.  I miss that feature!

I have my voice settings pretty much the same as you, but still have problems.  Can you tell me how to train the voice feature?  I can't find that anywhere.  The help menus mentions it, but I can't figure it out.  I also do not see some of the other settings you listed such as sensitivity.

I am also having problems with Bluetooth pairing with my Garmin GPS.  The phone loses connectivity intermittently and occasionally locks up.  Not good when you're on the road!  Also, I used to have full functionality with my env.  Meaning, I could do voice dials through my Garmin.  I can't do that with the Versa, it wants me to use the phone's voice dial function.  I think it has something to do with voice tags... do those exist on the Versa?

Thanks!

Hello all, I just got this phone for my wife.  She seems to like it.  Where are people seeing the keyboard in different colors?  My wife would kill for a pink one.

Geester, press the Clear button, and when it's asking for you to give it a command, click on Settings. There, you can adjust all those settings I listed above.

I'm going to conclude that since no one has posted a link or picture of the illustrious "lime green" Versa, there is no such animal?

The only thing I've found is a lime green silicone cover for the Versa. I don't think that counts, though.

Hello everyone. I just bought my LG VErsa Tuesday with the unlimited mb premium plan from Verizon. I have played around with it quite a bit, but see there is a whole forum dedicated to it, so I am assuming I have a lot of opitions.

The only thing I have done is used BitPim to make a few ringtones. Thats about it.

Looking forward to other neat things with this awesome phone.
