At this time, only while the keyboard or game pad attachment.
Otherwise (with or without the attachment) the "menu" screen will rotate as well as text messages, mobile email, browser, navigator, contacts, music/videos/sounds, phonebook, etc.
There is however, talk that LG may release a software upgrade to allow all homescreens to rotate at all times.

I would really like to see the homescreen rotate, it would be cool if they made it work that way!

Wait when does the home screen not rotate from port to land? What do you mean?

Wait when does the home screen not rotate from port to land? What do you mean?

Phone with any attachment = All 4 homescreens screens rotate.
Phone without any attachment = Only the 3 homescreens (Media, Shortcuts & Favorites) do not.
Both with & without any attachment = Menu screen rotates.

If I'm wrong, I'd love to see a photo of your phone without an attachment & with a rotated homescreen.

I never have my attachment on and I really hope a future update changes this "design flaw" as I like to call it . . . . I've even considered soldering a bridge to the receptors on mine to trick the phone into thinking there is an attachment, but I don't have the guts to try and risk frying my phone.

Actually sometimes I wish there was an option to stop it from rotating.. like a slideable key or something.

That's a very good idea, actually. I almost never rotate it unless I've got a landscape pic I need to look at, which I almost never do.

Thats funny I am the opposite. I always open it landscape as I have the keyboard attatched. And I always use smart pic so my pics are always landscape.

I wouldn't do that if I were you...

Not only would you risk "frying" your phone, but also haven't you noticed that there's no on-screen qwerty in landscape when the keyboard is attached?

I mean if you only use t9 or portrait abc I guess it wouldn't be a problem.

Plus if they ever come out with new attachments, you'd be screwed if you wanted one.
