exact same things is happening to me I've looked everywhere and nothing seems to work..i've reformatted the card its a 16gb sandisk and i don't think the card's the problem since i can still save pictures on it and everything.it was working fine...then all of a sudden when I try and sync it it'll sync for like a second then it just freezes and i have to unplug it and take the battery off..i'm also using rhapsody for music...the funny thing is that without the memory card it will sync and i'll be able to put music on the 300mb..but when i insert the memory card it'll freeze..  Embarrassed

Im not sure how to fix the problem, but you could try using windows media player to sync music to the memory card and then drag all the music into the correct folder. That shouldn't make your phone freeze because you dont have the phone plugged in while your doing it. You could at least use this as a backup untill you find a fix to your problem.

I am having the same issue.  Maybe this is why there was no software with Versa.  There may be a known issue.  I can connect with bitpim from windows so I know the driver is good.

How do you get media player to see the versa?  It does not show a device is connected from media player.

Has anyone managed to get rhapsody to work on the versa?

I am having the same issue.  There seems to be driver issues with Rhapsody.  I am running Parallels on my mac and can not get the usb to work with Rhapsody.  If I put the phone in media mode it works on the mac and windows/Parallels.  I did not have any of these issues with my Glyde.

I too am using Parallels.
I have used Windows Media Player but not yet tried Rhapsody.
After a lot of frustration, I finally figured out that for WMP to recognize my phone, I had to "Connect to Mac" instead of my "virtual machine."  This may also help with Rhapsody.

I had a similar problem.

The solution was to uninstall Windows Media Player from your PC and then download / install the latest version.

I had this problem,

installed software from disk, and was able to sync phone through rhaposody or windows media player.

put 30ish songs on phone.

some days later, locking up when syncing.

installed fresh rhapsody from website in case the cd was not up to date...no fix.

nothing worked.

formatted memory card. (4G)

was able to sync.

guess I'll see if it works next time.

when it was failing, could not even charge phone (USB was on autodetect.)

to get it to charge, even with no sync, changed it to prompt music or data for USB mode. (on phone)

then i just did not answer.  at least was able to charge.

anyway, good luck, post if you find root cause, i wil ldo same.
