I was wondering if there were any turn based games that could be played across two phones. Say I have XYZ game on my phone and my friend has XYZ game on their phone too that we could play each other. Not anything real time. I know nothing like that is going to exist. I was wondering more like a board game or a turn based Strategy game.

Suggestions?

welcome. I doubt it because if there was a flash game (.swf) that could be multiplayer, it could be done within internet. but i doubt by bluetooth (only way i could think some1 could play it)

Hmm ok. I wasn't thinking bluetooth. I thought perhaps via the phones data connection. Kinda like sending a text like message to the person you are playing against, that would contain the data on your move.

Seems like a huge market they are missing if they haven't thought of this yet.

like he said, finding a flash game that plays in the web browser that is multiplayer over the internet is your best bet. Forget the text message idea no game in existance plays that way and never will, unless you send chess moves to eachother knight to r7.
There are alot of flash games that are multiplayer over the web but who knows wich ones will work. I would start at wiiplayable.com, most of there games work on the versa and many are multiplayer. Please let us know how this works when you find one. I am pretty shure you can find some game that works like this.

I think chess was one.

This is exactly what I was meaning to say. When I said like a text message, I meant it would send a packet of data to the other players phone that told them what move I made. Not an actual text. But yes it would operate over their servers from phone to phone.

Games like monopoly, chess, battleship, connect 4 would all be great for this. I hate playing the computer on games like that because usually the computer spanks me all too often.

So if that clarifies, I would like to know if any of them actually operate in that fashion.
