So I've exploited the hell out of the bitpim on the Versa, using the file system view. I noticed you can fing all the games and Apps in the "BREW" file. So i was wondering If some one bought a game on the Versa it would be filed there (As i have found pacman monopoly and NFS) So couldn't we just copy the file names and put them on the versa our selfves?
I'm not very good at explaining things but basically there are 3 files under BREW for games 1. the game 2. the extension (app tab and so on.) 3. the rest are little movies and intro graphics. all 3 are in separate places with numeric file names.
Copying this stuff is easy so what im saying is cant we just buy a game see what changes and then alter the new versa (the one receiving the illegal game) to match the changes file names files and all, Then technically the GAME should work? Right?

i'm pretty sure there is a registration code somewhere because if you play a trial you can no longer get the trial again unless you change phones

I was wondering, does anyone know for sure whether this would brick the phone or are you guys just concerned it would. I know that a lot of things that work with the dare and the voyager also work on the versa. Have people tried it on either of those phones and had the device brick on them? If anyone would be willing to try, I'd be happy to supply a game and see if they can get it to work. Anyone interested? PM me.

Hate to break it to ya but I dont think anyone is going to be willing to test this out just to see of their phone will break or not. Most likly the phone would brick.

I actually doubt it would brick the phone. Unless you change a system folder that is required to run and cannot fix it I see no reason it would hurt it. The most you would probably do is brick the app.

I understand. It's also why I was curious to hear if people are concerned about bricking their versas this way because they bricked a dare or voyager by trying the same thing. Is there any account of people bricking any LG phones by trying this technique that I just haven't noticed? Hey, Deburner, would you be willing to give it a shot if I sent you the folder with the game files in it?

Actually we attempted.
We got it on the phone which was pretty simple. We got one error and figured out how to fix that. Then we got another error which we couldn't figure out.

Thanks for giving it a shot! What was the unresolved error?

Hey Im the original poster of this, I heard that you can go on bitpim copy all the files (backthemup) then load it on to a new phone then it works. Thats how people get the free VZnavigator. I cant see why it wouldnt be different for the games..
