I have been looking at my phone and wondering, why didn't they put a 3.5 mm headphone jack in here, why didn't we get a 3.2 megapixel camera, why is our screen not as wide as the Dare? These are just some of the things that the Dare has better. I'm sure lg is perfectly capable of putting some of these if not all of these features into the phone without raising the price. Then would this not be the ultimate phone. What if they made the dare have a few better features because if the Versa trumped it on everything, no one would purchase the dare.
But really i would be happy with just a 3.5 mm headphone jack, i hate having to useing one of those long fat adapters just to listen to my music via my Bose in-ears.

I'm not exctly sure but I was thinking it may be because the Vesa is not suppose to be a succesor to the Dare, and if the versa was the same size had a better camera, all the new features, and a 3.5mm jack nobody would want the dare anymore.

its not a successor if anything its a predecessor kinda cause if im not mistaken the dars is the VX9700 and the versa is the VX9600
but its not like it matters if they make it way better than the dare either way they get the business, but if it had everything good from both the phones they would beat out every other phone verizon has minus the smartphones

Thats true Verizon needs to keep sales on other phones as well.

Well from what ive Heard the Dare was/is problematic. the versa came out after the dare with much planning time..it is more clever of a fone and more appealing besides the cam and the headphones.. i do not understand why the 3.5 mm is not standard for everything nowdays..it would be awesome if it came in more colors, i dont think it would be to much of a hassle for LG to come up with a bundle of colorful cases..

Does the Dare have Copy/Paste? My Voyager didn't at first, but did with an update. I don't understand why they would release a phone such as the Versa and not have this feature.

copy paste exists to an extent. you have to type it in a text box and click options and click copy text. same for pasting.
i know it works in the browser. never have needed it though. would be nice to be able to highlight and copy though...

The phone would have to know when you're looking for text vs. moving the screen around... As for highlight/copy/paste... You can, I do it in text messages all the time...

No trees were destroyed for this message. However, a great number of pixels were extremely inconvenienced.

So the Versa is a lower model number than the Dare? Maybe the Dare is better than the Versa. I heard the Dare screen was wider and better for web browsing.

The Dare is a higher phone, but the Versa is more up-to-date. The Versa's screen is 480 dots wide; the Dare's is only 400.

I personally prefer the Versa because it has a higher screen resolution, is slimmer to carry and hold, has a much better touch response, and has many more shortcut options. The camera may have fewer megapixels than the Dare, and may lack a 3.5 mm headphone jack, but it does excellently on Bluetooth, and that's what I use.
