I wonder if they were typing in the model number of the phone and got confused and used something other than 9600.   Just a though if they got confused on the model number vs. the name...

If not maybe 6 is out.  I had reboot issues with version 2 on my phone.  They were gone with version 3 and now seem back on 4.   Not rebooting as much but I've noticed at least twice this week.  Before was rebooting several times a day on version 2..    I carry it in my shirt pocket on vibrate and I'll feel it, think I've got a text message and when I check it, its in the middle of booting up.   No messages or missed calls.

The memo one would be good if you could use it in keyboard mode without the keyboard attachment. Cus you have to do it in ABC, T9,123, write it out w/ a stylus, or symbols.  Cry

I am also having this same problem.  Nice to know that it's not just a problem with my phone.  Can anyone with the v04 firmware check to see if this is still an issue?

Also, I am having a problem disabling haptic feedback without also disabling vibrate on incoming call.  Under
Settings & Tools -> Touch Settings, there is an option for Vibrate Level (Off/Low/Medium/High) and Vibrate Effect (On/Off).  If I turn Vibrate Level off, haptic feedback is disabled, but incoming calls will no longer vibrate (Notifications, however, will still vibrate).  For me, turning Vibrate Effect on or off has no effect.  Does anyone else have this problem or a solution to it?  Thanks in advance!

OOOOOOOOOOOOH
hahahah thanks much!
i tried earlier but i guess i just didnt do something right...? hahah yeah now it works. and i gotta say.. i love the memo one. its pretty nifty spiffy Grin

I have version 4 now, and when you use memo i still cant use the TOUCH keyboard. its still does it in ABC, T9,123, write it out w/ a stylus, or symbols when you want to use it in touch mode. When i tilt it sideways i don't even get the touch keyboard. It just stays the same.

ehh that sucks about the touch keyboard. even though my qwerty is attached at all times.. i can see the inconvenience for those who like to have their versa solo.

btw i just curious if anyone else had this problem.
the txt messaging threads. love it. but when someone texts me and i want to recall our previous convo and swipe to previous text, it takes me back like.. 3-10 texts instead of just the one. its a little annoying at times. has anyone else had this problem?

btw still using v03. do you think v04 will help?
i did notice that when you receive notice for text or something you dont have to click the 'view now' button like 5 times anymore Cheesy

Sohsae, My versa only goes one text slide at a time.
People are reporting V04 is improving the screen quickness and sensitivity, so its worth a shot.
The clicking on buttons like 5 times happened to me too b4 v03.
maybe all you have to do to fix the text msg problem is a carefull calibration using the stylus. press it exactly on the dot of the calibration screen, that seems to give me the best results! But I never use the onscreen keyboard.

sorry, noob question, but in order to change the fw on your phone you have to take it to a verizon store, you cant just choose the software update under phone info?

Definitely.  The biggest problem that I'm seeing is when the browser won't close.  It often occurs when something causes the browser to freeze (often when buffering a youtube video, which is of course a problem in itself), but sometimes also occurs when the browser is working fine.  I can go back, enter new urls, add pages, etc, but the physical END key does not close the browser, no matter how long I press it.  I have yet to find a way to close the browser without using the END key, so when that doesn't work, I have to pull out the battery and hard reset the phone if I wanna do anything else.

Also, sometimes certain audio tracks will suffer from a bit of lag and skipping, most typically mp3's with bitrates higher than 192k, or wma files.  I understand why there's some lag when running the player in the background with the browser or something, this is a phone after all, with a single processor running all the major functions, rather than having a dedicated DAC for the music, but it should still be able to play the music with no problems with no other apps running!

Fix the browser lockups and refusal to close, the audio issues, the restart issues, allow us more customization over the vibrate settings, and let us keep the flash on for a flashlight, and this phone will be a lot closer to ideal!!

Yes i have that problem. And sometimes it takes me to a different person that I wasn't in the convo with. What also is bugging me is when you want to exit and not save in the draft because I always accidenty hit pic message it lags a little bit before the message comes on. Like I hit there area and 5 seconds later is asks me if I want to save it as a draft. Anyone have that? I have version 4 too.

@sohsae    The swipe issue happens sometime to me. However the the lovely stupid picture reply has not been fixed in v04. I read online that the EnV3 if you start typing while on someone's text it jumps to a new text message to that person. Too bad it's not on the Versa.

Seriously who really replies with videos or pics? For how many most people send auto text reply would save so much time for accidently pressing the damn thing
