I just downloaded the Beta BitPim and it won't recognize or detect my phone.
So I run the settings and set my phone to the LG Versa, and nothing happens, it still won't connect.
I got my phone yesterday.

Have you installed the driver for your phone? Do you have the latest version of BitPim?
Is your phone set to sync for data?

What do you mean by installing the driver for my phone? And every time I press the sync button on my phone it says check cable, but the cable is fine? Sorry, I'm kinda dumb when it comes to things like this. And yes I'm pretty sure I have the newest version of BitPim, I just downloaded it yesterday.

You must install the driver for your versa before it will be recognised by your pc.
You can download a driver herehttp://www.verizon-phones.org/verizon-lg-versa-drivers-download.html then with your phone pluged into your pc go to tools> USB mass storage> on your versa and viola your connected.

I had the same issue until I downloaded the lastest TEST version (Maybe V .07) and it then recognized my phone.  As stated above, you MUST have the driver installed first..plug in your phone and run BitPM.  If it does not see it automatically, you might have to adjust some of the settings.

As stated in the post above, you need the TEST version of Bitpim (1.0.7)  Download link from bitpim's site is here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitpim/files/bitpim-tests/1.0.7.20090722/bitpim-1.0.7.20090722-setup.exe/download
