I prefer the Versa. My grandmom has the Dare and I don't like it. The touch screen seems a bit more responsive on the Versa. The UI is much better on the Versa (3 home screens). Plus their will probably updates for the Versa coming out that will fix some of the errors that are occuring now. I suggest messing with both of them in the store to make sure your getting the one you like. But for me the Versa was the one I wanted. One of the main things that made me lean towards the Versa was the acellerometer, its much better on the Versa than on the Dare.

Ah yes, the big dilema.
What needs to be decided on is whats important to you and what are the features of each.
1. Camera
2. U/I
3. Tech.
4. Support

Yup, I was at the store 2 days ago looking at the phones, but I totally missed the Versa, =[.

I will have to go back again.

Most important things for me are

Texting
Browser
ESPN MVP/games
A good working touch screen

So, I'm gonna try to go over what you guys asked about.

-Camera. Yes the camera is 3.2 on the Dare and 2.0 on the Versa. I really like the camera on the Versa and don't really see any diffrence between the Versa and Dare's camera. Some people have mentioned they belive that the 2.0 on the Versa has been improved to be as good as the one on the Dare.

-U/I. In my opinion is that the Versa's interface is much better. I really like having the 3 homescreens. And I noticed that sometimes on the Dare I might click on something but instead of opening it would start moving around on the screen as to be placed in a new area. On the Versa you have to press a button to edit the location of icons. The theme is kinda dull on the Versa right now as it is a yellow/drown color. But maybe that will be changed in the feture via updates. Who knows?

-Tech. No really sure what you mean here care to explain?

-Support. I'm not exactly sure what you mean but I'll try to answer. The Dare has been out longer so you will most likly be able to get help from someone in the store if you encounter any problems. I took my Versa to the store today because of problems and the people working in the store did not have any advice but simply gave me a new Versa and the problems have been fixed. Hopefully the upadate feature on the Versa will be used so you can make updates without going to the store. But at least the 1st update will proably be activated only by taking the phone into the store. They will most likly need to flash the firmware and install updates since they have a pretty good amount of errors to fix.

-Texting. The Dare does have a larger on screen keyboard than the Versa. I find it pretty hard to use th on screen qwerty keyboard on the Versa. This may be adjusted in updates. But the Versa does have an excelent snap on qwerty keyboard that works wonders!

-Browser. I have not had too much experience with the bowser on the Dare, but from what I know the Versa and Dare both have a great browser. But the touch screen seems a little unresponsive on the broswer using the Versa.

-ESPN MVP/Games. The games on the Versa are much better since you can use the acceleromter to play the games were as on the Dare you can not. You can also purchase a game controaller atachement for the Versa. ESPN MVP is only available on the Dare right now. I do exspect ESPN MVP to become available in the future for the Versa. The program just needs to be re written to fit the screen on the Versa witch takes time.

-Touch Screen. I noticed better touch screen response on the Versa than on the Dare. Thou the touchscreen seems to work better on the Dare when Web browsing compared to the Versa.

Hope I helped. Ask more questions if you need to. =)

I'm not really sure. Sometimes it really bothers me and then other times everything works perfectly. Hopefully and update will come out and fix all the little bugs and errors.

I do hope they put the over air update feature to use but I think for the 1st update we will have to take it to the store. The firmware will probably have to be flashed and I don't think that can be done over the air. In fact only one of the Verizon stores were I live can flash firmware. The other stores all say to go to that one.

Tech: things like the accelerometer on the Versa. For games and other apps, which leads to Support. Both with VW and third party.  Smiley
