LG Versa - Shift key not working right

Whenever I go to type text on the phone and press shift it sticks a letter afterwards. For example, if I write test, with the first letter capitalized, the second letter is as well, reading TEst (should just be "Test"). Every single time I use it I have to erase the second letter afterwards and redo it lowercase. Even tried pressing the shift key on and off to see if that made any difference and nothing, the second letter has to be typed and will always be uppercase and I have to erase it. A glitch?

Every time you hit the shift key it switches from abc to Abc to ABC which do you use normally. Are you sure this is not mixing you up somehow? What firmware version do you have? I would try to avoid this by using abc or Abc and not hit shift. This is a replacement worthy problem if you can replicate it at the Verizon store. I had to replace a keyboard my keys did not always work on my qwerty. Hope this helps!

Hey i think that there may be some problem with the shift key..
u can change the button of it and hope that could help u out..
u can also try to replace it if u can..
hope u can use it properly then..

well really you have need to change the key button then it will work properly some times this errors comes due to the dust problem but when will you clean it with anything then may be this problem could be solve .

Tell me if this work for you, i am a mobile repairer and this type of faults are 50% corrected by changing the key and 50% by washing the board from petrol, you can try this too it is no rocket science.

You may be able to sort this out as a bad keyboard.
Try out your Keyboard & Character viewer.
Open your System Preferences, then Language & Text pane.
Click the Input Sources tab.
Turn on Keyboard & Character Viewer, and make sure that SHow input menu in menu bar - is checked.
Click on Keyboard Viewer from the keyboard menu that now appears in your menubar.
Type the appropriate keys, and watch for the response from the on-screen keyboard.
You may find that some keys don't work in combination with the shift key, and those will be visible in that viewer. Should mean that your keyboard needs to be replaced.
