Hello all!  I am up for NE2 tomorrow (and no, its not an April Fools joke), and I need that little push over the cliff to decide on the Versa.

I have an enV right now, and I've been planning on getting a Dare since January.  I really like the enhanced web browsing capabilities, the media player, and the overall coolness of the touch-screen UI.  Since the Versa came on the scene, I can't seem to decide which device is better for me.  I don't text a lot, maybe 300 a month.  I do take some pictures to send to other people, or to Facebook, but I use my Canon if I need a good picture.

Apples to apples, I still think the Dare might be a better fit for me.  But that device is at the end of its run, and since the Versa is new, it's probably going to see a bunch of improvements over the coming year.  That's what's making the decision so difficult.  Lets get some dialog going here, I bet it would be useful to more people than just me.

To tell you the truth, I don't really ever use the qwerty keyboard for texting. It IS very helpful while surfing the net though.
I mainly use the qwerty module when I'm out doing physical activities, or at work (I'm a welder...not the job for a sensitive phone). It is VERY useful for me because it doubles as a case. Then when I get home, I snap on the regular cover and I'm ready for a night out with my friends or whatever (ie showing off the new phone Tongue )

The module aside, I like the menu functions a lot better on the versa. They both run smooth, but the Versa is just....easier (My G/F has the Dare, so It's easy to compare)....that rhymed... not intentionally, haha. I love how the versa shifts between the main menu's instead of the Dare where you select a button. True, the Versa has a smaller screen, but I've managed just fine, and yes, the Dare has a "better" camera, but after using my G/F's camera, I don't think it's any better than my old EnV.

Other then that, I can't really think of anything else major at the moment. I'm sure other people will chime in. The downside is that the Versa is a new phone, and new phones usually have SOME glitches. I haven't had a problem yet, but some people have had freezing issues when receiving a text message. Then again, with a support group like this, you can't go wrong!

I believe that if you want just a good phone that'll last you a good time than go for the Versa.

tbh I've tried the Dare touch screen and I absolutely hate it it doesn't respond half the time and even though you don't text a lot you'll become VERY Frustrated by the dare touchscreen texting. I practically broke the phone over my sheer frustrated. The Touch Qwerty keyboard doesn't help either because the buttons used to delete letters and spacing is all weird and spread out unequally.

I chose the versa because of its better touch screen from what I've heard and just because like you said it's a newer phone that will have constant updates it'll also be given add ons that you can add to the Versa to change a function or somewhat.
I also chose the versa just because its a new phone that nobody has yet =D. So if your a guy who likes to be different than go for the versa =D

Yeah, I am that guy sometimes.  Grin  But, I don't want to be the guy that had to have the newest, and ended up being stuck with a copy of Windows ME a year later...  Angry
