I would definitely recommend the invisible shield over the screen protectors. you'll go through verizon's pretty fast, while the invisible shield even has a warranty.

Idk where you saw them, but online, and in store, verizon has not made screen protectors for the Versa yet. You can get them for the Dare but then you have to cut them to size.

IMO, I like the concept of the Invisishield. I was sold on reccommendations, their website, the kiosks in the mall, etc. and I figured that I couldn't go wrong with something that costs considerably more than the competition. Here's my problem with the product: As far as a touchscreen protector, I'm really disappointed. I bought 2, one for my versa & one for my girlfriends. After attempting, reattempting, reattempting and reattempting to put it on mine, I finally got it (keep in mine that I've installed vinyl several times in the past and never had so much trouble). Other than the difficulty of application, the product sucked for 2 main reasons:
1. There is a distorted/plastic looking quality that I just couldn't get over. It was almost as if it translucent instead of transparent.
2. For a touchscreen, it provides WAY too much traction. Imagine going shirtless down a slip-n-slide with no water . . . that’s kinna what my thumb felt like.
Don't get me wrong, I can definitely see its advantages for different applications (like the back side of the phone, a laptop, remote control, etc.) but I returned the unopened one and will never buy another Invisishield for a screen, especially a touchscreen.
So I'm out ~$30, but the bright side is that for $12 I bought a 5 pack of universal 5" GPS anti-glare screen protectors from Target and I used my POS Invisishield as a template to cut it down to fit. . . . Thanks for my $30 template Invisishield!

Maybe you over handled it mine that i just got and put on was just fine.

2. For a touchscreen, it provides WAY too much traction. Imagine going shirtless down a slip-n-slide with no water . . . that’s kinna what my thumb felt like.

I agree its a bit sticky but not as bad as i thought it would be from the way you described it.

The instillation was easy just followed the instructions maybe i am just good with my hands always have been and always will be a tinkerer.

The only issue i have with it is when i have the phone in my hand you can feel all the little corners of the plastic on the phone and it dose not feel as smooth and has made the phone feel cheep.

just got it today, and not too impressed so far. i also feel that "traction" on the screen, not so smooth and also my screen looks kinda slimy. there are some bubbles and the cut outs on the top dont fit the actual things

Give it a few days.  Most bubbles do work themselves out and 'feel' of the traction will become a non-issue as well.

Does anyone have a video or a good picture of the Invisible Shield for the Versa, for both the screen coverage and/or the whole body models? I'm really curious about the aesthetics on them. Thanks! Cheesy

wow all this hate on the invisible shield. i have the screen protector and its great.
installed easy and quick IF YOU FOLLOW DIRECTIONS.
free shipping with discount.
arrived quick.
the "traction" only happens if you press to hard. i dont mash my screen so its just fine.
its 100% scratch and scuff resistant with a warranty for $15 I'll sacrifice a little glare for that.
kevinbakon08 can have fun buying new screen protectors every couple of months mine will last the life of the phone and then some lol Grin
